January 8, 2013 Issue Alert > UI Reform Legislation Advances to the NC House   The North Carolina Chamber is pleased to report that the joint legislative Revenue Laws Study Committee passed a bill today that takes important steps to solve the unemployment insurance (UI) debt crisis and create balanced reforms to the UI system. The bill will now be introduced into NC House of Representatives and be considered by the House Finance Committee. We will continue to update you as this bill progresses through the legislative process.  The North Carolina Chamber is encouraged that the state leadership is taking a balanced approach to address the solvency, integrity and affordability of the UI system.
