   The Missouri Delegation is excited for another successful and busy BIO International Convention! As a reminder, Missouri is partnering with Saskatchewan BioSciences to host the Breakfast at BIO on Tuesday, June 19th at the Harvard Club providing opportunities for networking with our target bioscience partners and strengthening our existing relationships with Canada. Later that evening, Missouri will welcome all 15,000+ BIO participants to the Missouri Pavilion for the Exhibitor Hospitality Reception.
 
   Also don't forget, new this year the Missouri Delegation will have access to BIO’s One-on-One Business Partnering system to schedule meetings, generate leads, and communicate with prospects for an enhanced experience.

  Monsanto Co. ranked No. 12 in a new survey of the Best Places to Work in Industry conducted by The Scientist magazine, up from No. 15 last year.  Jordan Valley Innovation Center (JVIC) Celebrates It's 5th Year Anniversary
 
   The Roy Blunt Jordan Valley Innovation Center in 2007 marked one of the biggest changes for the encouragement of economic development in the area. On June 1, the Jordan Valley Innovation Center hosted its five-year celebration from in the facility’s parking lot featuring Senator Roy Blunt along with university and community leaders.
 
 
 
 
 
 
CLC bio Collaborates with Donald Danforth Plant Science Center
 
   CLC bio and the International Laboratory for Tropical Agricultural Biotechnology (ILTAB) at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, announced a collaboration to benefit the Virus Resistant Cassava for Africa project (VIRCA), a partnership including researchers at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center in St Louis, MO, the National Crops Resources Research Institute in Uganda (NaCRRI) and the Kenya Agricultural Research Institute (KARI). VIRCA is a humanitarian effort to develop and deliver farmer-preferred cassava varieties enhanced to resist serious plant virus diseases that are greatly reducing crop yield and increasing the threat of poverty and famine. 
 
 
 
Dr. Terry Brewer Appointed to SEMI North American Advisory Board
 
    Dr. Terry Brewer, founder and President of Brewer Science, has been appointed to the influential SEMI North American Advisory Board. With this appointment, Dr. Brewer joins a highly regarded group of leaders in the nano- and microelectronics fields along with whom he will advise on global technology matters. Dr. Brewer’s appointment to the board was announced by Karen Savala, president of SEMI Americas.
